Why if as you say, that I don't have any current phones, have you taken money out of my account for the last year. Isn't this theft?

All calls go directly to voicemail and cannot receive any texts

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have a Motorolla G5+ phone and the last couple of weeks, no-one can reach me by calling me. Each time someone calls me, they are directed to my voicemail. I am having trouble with text messaging, as well. When I try to send text messages, the auto correct or word recognition option is not working. Hence, I have to be very careful how I spell "everything." Also, my phone will not receive "any" text messages. I need help, for I am getting ~9+ voicemail messages everyday and no-one can text me.

It has taken me several hours to set up my phone. I am on hold waiting to get my question answered. The process is long because only one part of a question gets answered and then you have to wait about 20 minutes for the next part of a questions. They provide no phone number. You are forced to wait for help and given only tidbits at a time so it takes many hours to set up a phone.

I am returning to Republic wireless as soon as I get my Motorola G7 back from the company where I purchased it from.my phone is still under warranty and they said to send it back to them and they will fix it for me so when I get it back I will reactivate my phone to Republic wireless. In the meantime I'm using my old g S5 phone with no data and no activation.. and I have a landline that I use which is a MagicJack for now.so I will return and there is no problem with a Republic wireless at all. User's recommendation: I would definitely recommend Republic wireless. I have had it for a long time maybe 10 years or so and I plan to renew it when it expires before it expires I mean I would definitely recommend it.

Move boost phone to republic

I tried to move my boost Mobil phone to republic and it didn't work. I have an old sim card - about 5 years old. Please help me know why it didn't work? So, I downloaded the republic app and then put in the sim card. It gave a notification about voice provisions. And the phone would not make calls. Plus when I did the diagnostic test there were several problems listed. Please help me know what to do. Thank you; Michelle Simons

My account is being answered by a man

In addition, when I tried to sign in. I get a statement that my email address does not have an account. A customer tried to text me today and got a statement that I didn't receive texts. He had to drive to my place of business.

I have been using this company for about 10 years. Lately if I don't have wi-fi, I have no service. Nothing nada!!!!! So I am leaving for another carrier. I would of liked to try and fix the problem, but no one to talk to. And while looking for another carrier I have found out I can't take my phone number with me.

Avoid at all costs

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I switched from Verizon to Republic in early September. I was excited to do so, having read very good things on the Mr. Money Mustache blog (from both Mr. Money Mustache himself and multiple readers who commented). I was also excited to save money, as I was at the time paying around $70/month for my Verizon plan. So I jumped in with both feet. I bought a phone from Republic and paid for a years service in advance. I had figured that buying one of their phones would start me off with a clean slate, heading off any trouble associated with an older phone whose settings might not match theirs, leading to difficult-to-diagnose problems. I was wrong. The problems started immediately. Callers told me they received out of service messages when they tried to reach me. Texts I sent were never received. I consulted help and expert users, who generally told me to VOIP the phone a step I performed at least once a day, to no effect. I logged multiple tickets in an effort to get the problem fixed. Nothing ever worked. The two-week return period came and went, and I hung in there because I simply couldnt believe that any phone service could be this bad that it had to be something I was doing or failing to do. I tried everything suggested, but things never improved. And I simply didnt have the time (or the inclination) to troubleshoot every single call by asking everyone who tried to contact me to try again and again as I switched between wifi and cellular. This is not a reasonable thing to ask of customers. Over the two months I was with Republic, I never enjoyed a single moments security of knowing my phone service was reliable. In addition, I was trying to get a surgery scheduled, a task made immeasurably more difficult by the hospitals inability to get ahold of me. Over and over, I had to call various departments and ask them to reach me through my husband (who thankfully was not on Republic). At the end, things got positively surreal, with callers receiving a Spanish out-of-service message, followed by an English out-of-service message, followed by my personalized voicemail greeting (as if anyone would hang in there that long). Saving money doesnt mean a thing if you cant make and receive calls. And after having provided laughably crummy service for two months, Republic refused to refund the $250 I paid in advance in the obviously naïve belief that I would get what I paid for. This insult-to-injury scenario adds up to the single worst experience Ive ever had with a business in my entire life. In short, I feel like a sucker. Given the awfulness of my experience with them, it would have demonstrated integrity on their part to refund some or all of my $250. Haha, no dice. If you feel like you simply must try Republic because their prices are so low (which, again, doesn't mean much if you can't make or receive calls), don't fall for their "pay for a year in advance, and get 2 months free" scam. You will never see that money again. Go month to month if you must.
