After they promoted and reminded me several times about Affirm being an option to pay for a phone they offered, they failed to remind me that the device would eventually be unusable with another carrier. Their grave irresponsibility became evident when they sold the company or switched over without maintaining transparency.
Whether they charged people for service and devices early or late is irrelevant; it was not done at the appropriate time.
Additionally, they never responded or provided adequate customer service when I lodged numerous complaints about lack of service, requests for refunds, and issues with activation. The wait times were intolerable - if indeed my requests were ever answered.

They cut my service off without any notice and 5 days later took a payment out of my account. I asked for a refund and they promised me on, but I never got it.
They will not answer the phone when you call them and when they do, they are very rude.
I see why they are no longer in business. I want my refund

I screwed up
I was confused and I thought Republic was charging me for my old account when I was contacted about my service being migrated or transferred to boost infinite. I requested a cancellation and refund in a panic.
I was told I had 2 accounts or lines with the same phone number. I would like my service back if possible or my account info, pin, and whatever I need to port my number to another service.
I'm so confused and I can't call you guys. Please help.

I have always used Republic Wireless because of it's capacity to make calls on wifi, essential for my work overseas over the past decade. I moved to Madagascar in October 2022 and was able to continue to make business calls home to the United States.
Starting about 2 weeks ago (early January 2023) I am now receiving the message "Cellular network not available for voice calls" and also am not receiving the OTP security messages via SMS that I used to receive, in order to sign into various bank accounts, etc. Why all of of a sudden this change ? Was there a change that was made in early January?
I have been a Republic Wireless customer since 2012 and have hated everything that has happened with the DISH acquisition of Republic Wireless, and if now I am unable to have a functioning phone I will be looking for another provider ASAP. (I sent this message to Republic Wireless Customer service early February and never received a response)

The 5G SIM CARD you supplied me with will not fit into my Galaxy S9 shone. I can't gain access to make calls when I reinstalled my previous SIM CARD.
Preferred solution: Further instructions on installation of 5G SIM CARD into my Galaxy S9 Phone. The SIM Card I bought from you won't fit my phone.

I spoke on the phone last week (on or about 1/10/23) with a Republic Customer Service Representative. I was calling about a charge to my Credit Card on 5/21/22 for $246.58.
I assume this was for the automatic annual charge. Less than a month after the charge I informed Republic via phone that I was no longer using Republic. I inquired about a refund for the unused balance of the $246.58 and was told that I would receive a credit on my Credit Card for the total amount.
Since I don't always look at my Credit Card Statements I didn't see, until last week, that a credit was never issued. On 1/13/23 Republic issued a credit for $87.15; obviously, this is much less than the amount I was promised.
Please be an honorable company and issue another credit for the amount of the balance ($159.43). This is only fair given I haven't used your service since shortly after my Credit Card was charged. My phone/internet contract with Comcast expires in June when I'm certain my rate will rise much higher than what I'm paying currently. Prior to switching I was with Republic for about 3 years; I was happy with the service and I didn't intend to switch to Comcast but it was required in order to qualify for the promotional rate ($50/month for phone and internet service).
And the phone service was same as I was getting from Republic.
I'm certain that anyone at Republic would do the same in order to save money especially given that I was assured I would get a refund for the full amount.
I plan to switch my service to another Cell Phone Company in June and since I was happy with the price and performance I had with Republic, I see no reason why I wouldn't choose Republic. Being dealt with fairly, at this time, would go a long way in regaining my business.

After several attempts to contact Republic they have not been answering phone calls for over a week now due to "technical issues". This is bogus. They probably fired their customer service team and shut down their call center so they have zero service.

Verified ReviewerBottom lines is I do save money. That came with the sacrifice of quality customer service and reliability.
Prior to vacationing out of the United States I called customer service to confirm ability to receive and transmit phone calls. I was told that I would have full phone services this however was not the case. While on vacation I called customer service again in order to resolve the problem and the representative was unable to solve my problem.
Preferred solution: Resolution of problem.

Have to update my debit card
No complaint at all. Have been a happy member for many years, though was much happier before DISH was involved. Simply needed to switch debit card for autopay.

DO NOT do business with Republic Wireless. When they paired with Dish earlier this year, I lost service for a week with no solution from customer support.
Then when I ported my number to Mint, I had just been charged for 12 months service with Republic, and instead of refunding me, they credited the amount to my no longer active account. They have denied my request for a refund since June 2022 and I no longer believe this will ever be resolved

We have an account for an emergency phone - one we use only for traveling. This morning, an hour before leaving for the airport, we checked it out.
Apps worked fine. Incoming calls fine. Tried to place a call. Error message: this phone not registered with this account.
Called rep, got part way through. Call dropped. Called again. More details.
Call dropped. Called third time. No luck. Left phone home.
Called fourth time. Finally! Rep told me to update the Republic Wireless app. That's all it took.
Republic changed its network sometime in the last 4 months, so if your phone doesn't work: 1. Go to the app store and update the Republic app. 2. Open the app and click on manage account, then follow menu.
You would think they would have sent an advisory to the email address on record. According to the first incompetent rep, "a lot of customers are having trouble with the new network."
